Certifago Platform Terms of Use
English version
These Terms govern the use of Certifago’s websites, applications and related systems (the “Platform”) by persons looking for service providers (a “User”). The Platform enables Users to find, compare and contact independent businesses offering services (a “Provider”). Certifago is not a party to the contract between a User and a Provider, and that contract is not concluded on the Platform.
1 Operator, point of contact and acceptance
The Platform is operated by Certifago s.r.o., Company ID No. 299 36 101, with its registered office at Varšavská 715/36, Vinohrady, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, File 453786 (“Certifago”, “we”). Email: info@certifago.com; phone: +420 774 554 630.
The email address info@certifago.com is the single point of contact for Users and other recipients of the service and for Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services under Articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services (the “DSA”). We can be contacted in Czech or English. Messages are not handled solely by automated tools.
Before verifying their mobile number, the User is shown these Terms in a form that can be saved and printed. The User accepts them by expressly confirming their consent before completing verification; this creates an agreement for the use of the Platform between the User and Certifago for an indefinite period. The agreement may be concluded in Czech or English. We do not store individual agreements separately; however, we archive every version of these Terms and, on request, will send the User the version in effect when they gave their consent.
The Platform is not intended for persons under 18. A User acting in the course of business or for a legal entity confirms that they are authorised to represent it; provisions of these Terms and of law protecting consumers do not apply to such a User.
2 How the Platform works
The Platform enables Users to find Providers by service and location, view their profiles and reviews, and contact them. To access a Provider’s contact details, the User (i) selects the Provider, (ii) provides their name and mobile number, (iii) confirms their acceptance of these Terms and (iv) verifies the number with a one-time code. Until the code is submitted, the User can check and correct the data entered in the form.
After verification, the Platform displays the selected Provider’s contact details and indicative availability. At the same time, Certifago makes only the User’s name and mobile number available to that Provider so the Provider can respond to the contact request. The selected service and other request details are not shared with the Provider through this transfer; the User and Provider exchange that information directly.
Displayed availability is indicative and is not a booking or a promise of an appointment. The User may use a Provider’s contact details only for their own specific, genuine request and may not publish them, pass them on to others or use them for other purposes. Use of the Platform is free of charge for Users. Further information about personal-data processing is provided in the Privacy and Cookie Notice.
3 Contract and payments between the User and Provider
All job terms, including scope, price, timing, liability, warranties and payment method, are agreed directly between the User and the Provider outside the Platform. Certifago does not enter into that contract, is not a party to it, does not set the price, does not collect payment from the User and does not act as the Provider’s agent or employer.
Providers are businesses. The User exercises rights and obligations under the service contract, including consumer rights, in particular remedies for defective performance and any right to withdraw from the contract, against the Provider. The Provider is responsible for its professional competence, licences, insurance, taxes, compliance with its information duties and proper performance of the service.
Certifago receives a fee from Providers for demonstrably generated connections or from jobs they obtain through the Platform. The User pays Certifago nothing for being put in contact with a Provider. The price of the service is set solely by the Provider. The amount of the fee does not affect the order of results (section 4).
4 Profiles, Provider screening and result order
Profile information is obtained mainly from the Provider, public registers and User reviews; the Provider is responsible for the accuracy of the information it supplies. Before making a profile available, Certifago checks whether the Provider meets the published screening criteria (https://certifago.com/certifago-certified), in particular its identity, business authorisation, references or other supporting documents.
“Certifago Certified” means only that the Provider met those criteria at the time of screening before its profile was made available. Screening is not repeated on an ongoing basis. The label is not a licence, insurance or a guarantee of the quality, price or outcome of a job. If we learn of facts that call compliance with the criteria into question, we may remove the label or restrict the profile.
Search results are ordered according to the following main parameters, listed in descending order of importance: (1) match with the selected service and location; (2) the Provider’s stated availability; (3) screening status and profile completeness; (4) quality and recency of verified reviews; (5) speed and reliability of the Provider’s responses; (6) signals of the Provider’s trustworthiness, safety and compliance with its obligations. Among Providers with a comparable result, the order may be rotated so that they are shown evenly.
The amount of the fee paid by a Provider to Certifago does not affect ranking; any paid placement will be clearly labelled.
Where we identify a security risk, suspected fraud, outdated or misleading information, or a breach of obligations towards Users or Certifago, we may rank the Provider lower or exclude it from results temporarily or permanently. We may correct profile information and restrict or remove a profile.
5 User duties and feedback
The User must provide accurate and current information, use the Platform only for a genuine request, respect the rights of others and not bypass verification, safeguards or Platform limits.
After a connection, the Platform may ask the User for a brief, non-public confirmation of whether contact or a service took place. The confirmation is used for control purposes in relation to Providers, in particular to check whether they comply with their obligations towards Users and Certifago, and for Platform quality control. The confirmation must be truthful. The User may always state that no contact or service took place or that they do not know the outcome. The confirmation is not a review; a public review is voluntary and need not be positive.
Until the User provides the requested confirmation, Certifago may temporarily suspend the display of contact details of further Providers. We will inform the User of this possibility in the confirmation request itself. The suspension does not affect contact details already made available or the User’s rights against the Provider, and ends as soon as the confirmation is supplied. If the User cannot provide the confirmation, they may contact info@certifago.com; we will lift the suspension or grant a reasonable exemption.
6 Reviews and other User content
A public review may be submitted only by a User for whom the Platform records a verified connection with the reviewed Provider, meaning a verified mobile number and access to that Provider’s contact details. This ensures that the review comes from a person who actually contacted the Provider through the Platform. We do not, however, verify whether or to what extent the service was provided, the accuracy of individual statements or the quality of the service.
We offer no payment or other benefit for reviews, and Providers are prohibited from offering any. We publish both positive and negative reviews; we do not remove or hide a review merely because it is negative.
A review must be based on the User’s own experience, be factual and not be unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, misleading or improperly interfere with privacy or third-party rights. The User may upload only photographs and other content for which they hold the necessary rights and permissions.
The User retains the rights in their content. By submitting content, the User grants Certifago a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide right to store, technically adapt and display it on the Platform within the scope selected by the User, for the duration of the economic rights in it; the right continues after the User stops using the Platform. Reviews remain published without time limit unless we remove them under these Terms. This does not affect the User’s rights under data-protection law, in particular the right to erasure and the right to object; at the User’s request, instead of removing a review we may remove or anonymise the data identifying the User.
Certifago does not itself rewrite the substance of a review. It may ask the User to correct it or may reject, hide or remove content that is unlawful, irrelevant, duplicative, demonstrably false or contrary to these Terms. We will inform the author in accordance with section 7.
7 Content rules, moderation and reporting illegal content
It is prohibited in particular to create fake requests or reviews, offer or accept payment for reviews, impersonate another person, harvest contact details, harass Providers, use their contact details for marketing, interfere with operation, distribute malicious code, scrape data without permission or use the Platform for unlawful activity.
We monitor compliance with these rules on the basis of notices, reports from Users and Providers and our own checks. To detect abuse, such as bots or mass harvesting of contact details, we use automated security tools that may temporarily block a request or refer it for review. Decisions to remove or hide content and to restrict access permanently are made by a member of Certifago’s staff. Depending on the severity and repetition of a breach, we may reject, hide or remove content, reduce its visibility, or temporarily or permanently restrict or terminate access to the Platform.
Illegal content on the Platform, such as a review or profile, may be reported electronically to info@certifago.com. To allow proper assessment, a notice should contain: (a) a substantiated explanation of why the content is illegal; (b) the exact location of the content, in particular its URL; (c) the notifier’s name and email address, except for notices concerning offences referred to in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU; (d) a statement confirming the notifier’s good-faith belief that the information is accurate and complete. We will acknowledge receipt electronically without undue delay, assess the notice in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner, and inform the notifier of our decision and the available redress.
If we reject, remove or hide a User’s content, reduce its visibility, or restrict or terminate the User’s access to the Platform, we will inform the User no later than when the measure takes effect, stating the facts and legal grounds, whether automated means were used, and the available redress, unless prohibited by law or an order of an authority. This does not affect the right to apply to a court or other competent authority.
8 Availability, changes to the Terms and access restrictions
The Platform is provided free of charge and without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may change, repair, temporarily suspend or discontinue it for security, operational, legal or business reasons.
We may reasonably amend these Terms, in particular due to changes in law or a decision of an authority, changes to Platform features, security or the business model. We will publish the new version with its effective date on the Platform at least 14 days before it takes effect and will clearly notify Users of material changes on the Platform. A User who does not agree with a change may terminate the agreement at any time and stop using the Platform. A request is governed by the version the User accepted when submitting it; later changes apply only to future use of the Platform.
The User may terminate the agreement at any time without giving reasons by notice to info@certifago.com or by ceasing to use the Platform. We may proportionately restrict a User’s access or terminate the agreement in response to abuse, a security risk, a breach of these Terms or failure to provide a confirmation under section 5. We take into account the severity and repetition of the breach and proceed in accordance with section 7.
9 Liability
Certifago aims to keep the Platform accurate and secure, but cannot guarantee the completeness of every profile, a Provider’s availability or the quality, price or outcome of the Provider’s service. Disputes concerning a job must be addressed directly between the User and Provider. Certifago is liable for profiles and reviews submitted by Providers or Users only to the extent provided by law, in particular where it becomes aware of their illegality and fails to act without undue delay.
Certifago is liable for loss caused by breach of its own obligations to the extent provided by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Towards a User acting in the course of business, Certifago’s liability for loss arising in connection with the use of the Platform is limited to a total of CZK 10,000. This limitation does not apply to harm to natural rights of a person or to harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence.
10 Personal data
The separate Privacy and Cookie Notice explains how Certifago processes personal data, including making it available to the selected Provider under section 2. The User should read it before submitting a request.
11 Complaints, dispute resolution, governing law and language
Questions and complaints about Certifago’s services may be sent to info@certifago.com and will be handled without undue delay, normally within 30 days. Complaints about a Provider’s service must be resolved between the User and the Provider; you may inform us of them and we will take them into account when reviewing the Provider.
If a consumer dispute arises from a service supplied by Certifago and the statutory conditions for alternative dispute resolution are met, the consumer may contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.gov.cz). A complaint about an infringement of the DSA may be lodged with the Digital Services Coordinator of the Member State in which the User is located or established. This does not affect rights concerning a service supplied directly by a Provider.
These Terms are governed by Czech law. Mandatory consumer rights under the law of the User’s habitual residence remain unaffected. Court jurisdiction is determined under applicable law; for disputes with a User acting in the course of business, the court having jurisdiction for Certifago’s registered office has local jurisdiction. The Czech version prevails; the English version is intended as a substantively corresponding translation. These Terms take effect on 24 September 2026.
